Rocky is one of the best and most well-known characters ever created and portrayed. Sylvester Stallone is the creator of the American sports drama and multimedia franchise Rocky, as well as the actor who played the role of Rocky. I don't know how many of you have seen the movie. So, here is a brief description of what this movie series consisted.

Rocky faced a variety of life challenges, ever-stronger opponents, and his own deteriorating physical condition in each subsequent film. Rocky became the epitome of the perennial underdog over the course of the series, continually finding strength in the challenges he faced in order to triumph over the odds. Even if you are not into fitness, the movie will still work for you because the messages that we can get are far beyond just fitness. Here is a small breakdown of what we learn from Rocky and how we can apply those things to our lives:

"Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up."- Rocky

1. Rocky taught us to give it our all.

Everything starts from here. Trying to do something is actually the first step to doing something. If you are not trying to learn something or do something that you have always wanted to do, you won't be able to do it. Every master was once a beginner; the only difference was that the master tried it, and that's how he learned.

That's how he became one of the best fighters in the movie. He wasn't skilled from the start. He was passionate about the sport, and he kept trying hard, and that's how he made a difference.

"Time takes everybody out. Time is undefeated." – Rocky Balboa

2. Rocky taught us the value of time.

We are all aware that, once time has passed, it cannot be recovered. Even though we are aware of this, we continue to waste it as if we have an infinite supply. Rocky, on the other hand, trained every day of his life to be the best. Yes, he got tired, and he also took the necessary breaks. He even had a love life, but he valued the things that he got in life. where we just waste it. Spend it on someone who doesn't even care about us. "Not caring" is something our generation finds cool. Even sleeping for 12 hours is a waste of time.

Leaving everything else aside, do you really believe we value the things we obtain without exerting any effort? answer yourself. That's the thing I personally love about the movie. Rocky valued time. He valued people and relationships. Which is something we all need to learn.

"It’s your right to listen to your gut, it ain’t nobody’s right to say no after you earned the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do!" – Rocky Balboa

3. Rocky taught us to set goals.

It was the first day at my college and I remember our new faculties making us stand and asking us, "What are your goals?" At the age of 19, 60% of students were unsure of what they wanted to do. Rocky's goal-setting was shown to be far superior to that of real-life goal scorers.

"To beat me, he’s going to have to kill me. He’s gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me and to do that, he’s got to be willing to die himself." – Rocky Balboa

Having a purpose gives our daily activities meaning. We might be the best boxer, singer, salesperson or anything, but if we don't have a purpose, nothing matters and everything just feels empty. Rocky always served a purpose, which evolved with each film. At first, it was to get Adrian and her love, then to win the matches, then to get revenge on a friend, and finally to repay, but he had a purpose throughout. What if you had a goal that was so important to you that you were willing to die for it?

4. Rocky told us that we owe nothing to anyone and that we must earn our way in life.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!― Rocky Balboa"

Nothing in our lives is easy until we learn how hard it is to earn it. We must know how hard it is to pay the price for something that we want but our parents get it for us easily. We are all exactly where we are meant to be, regardless of whether we want to admit it or not. Every single one of us is a direct result of the choices we have made. Change your current situation if you are unhappy with it and learn from what didn't work. Don't be entitled and think that other people will do it for you; they won't. Earn your way through life by taking charge of it. We should get bruises and bumps because otherwise it would be pretty boring, to be honest.

5. Rocky taught us that winning is not everything.

"You’re gonna take a beating, you’re gonna take this, you’re gonna get knocked down, you’re gonna get up and you’re gonna see if you got the right thing." – Rocky Balboa

Even if you know Rocky didn't win in the end, his dedication to being the best even after losing in the final is admirable. We usually quit when we lose, and that's how wrong we are. It's ok to lose but it's not ok to give anything less than our 100%. Even when life knocks you down, you stand back and face it in the eye. That's something Rocky taught me to do and these are some lessons I am sharing with you.

I hope you find those points, as well as some of Rocky's qualities, useful. If you haven't watched the movie, make sure you do because all those parts are worth watching.
