"The Notebook", IMBD ratings- 7.8/10 |
As is expected with most romantic movies, The Notebook (English, Paperback, Nicholas Sparks) has its share of cliché moments. The moral of the story is very good and it has some realistic parts. It is one of my favorite romantic movies Noah and Allie meet in high school and begin a whirlwind romance; however, as is always the case, rich girl and poor boy aren't meant for each other, and Allie's parents forbid them to be together. She later gets ready to marry a big-time lawyer, yet goes back to her hometown and runs into Noah, The two of them act as if nothing happened, and they dance around the fact that they still have feelings for one another. I enjoyed the way the story is told. It seems like an old man is reading a story to an old lady in the nursing home at the beginning of the movie, but at the end, it turns out it is Noah telling Allie the story of their lives, making sure she can remember them.
