Day 3: The last day of the event

This was the final day of the event. Yatin had zero hopes of seeing her again. He was busy from the start of the event, and the event flow was smooth. Around 4, when the fashion show was about to begin, he spotted that girl sitting with her contingent group. Yatin was surprised as well as happy to see her from far away. As the time passed, he was coming up with the excuses just to talk with the contingent leader. Seeing an opportunity, he asked, "Hey, what's your name?" to which she replied, "Fatema."

Knowing her name made happy hormones run throughout Yatin's body. which were pretty obvious because after the span of 24 hours, he saw her again, which was unexpected. As she was a fashion show participant, the talk couldn't go forward, but Yatin made up his mind that he had to stay in contact with her somehow. He waited till the fashion show wrapped up, but due to his head position, he got engaged in something else, and when he came back, Fatema had already left. Yatin's mood dropped suddenly, and the song "Jag suna suna lage" started to make sense in the moment. Yatin rushed towards the contingent leader and asked how much time had passed as he left, but unfortunately the moment was missed and the opportunity was gone. The rest of the event went great but the feeling of missed opportunity remained still.

The next day:

The next day was a rest day for students as they worked hard for the event. Yatin was at his home, still regretting about the missed opportunity to get in contact with her. Keeping the contact thing aside, he was more sad because he couldn't tell her that she had the prettiest smile. In that regretful moment, he wrote a poem for her in his mobile note, praying to God that if it is written in his destiny to see her again, he will definitely give her the poem, as well as the compliment he failed to deliver and the contact.

That's what we do too. When we fail to do something, we simply blame it on fate, hiding our inability within us. We occasionally put that to the test to see if it will happen again. That's exactly what Yatin did. slapped fate in the face.

Fate had his turn.

Yatin got a call from his best friend, who told him that they had to go on a PR visit to the colleges that had participated in their college. Yatin was all set to go to Fatema's college. The day arrived and Yatin, along with his best friend, went together to that college first, leaving the whole group behind because of Yatin's excitement. Yatin told his best friend about what happened during the event days and about the poem he wrote while travelling by train. His friend assisted him in copying the poem on a piece of paper inside the moving train. The handwriting was very bad, but the intentions were pure.

They both reached the college gate but they didn't have entry until their whole group arrived. Somehow they got inside the college. Using his PR contact, Yatin first strived to know where Fatema was but got news that she had already left. Another heartbreak. He kept that letter in his bag, not giving up hope of seeing her again this time because the event at Fatema's college was still to come and he could meet her again.

Roughly a week passed.

It was an open-mic competition at some other college where Yatin was a participant. Yatin and his friends were sitting on the first row in that competition room, leaving their bags in some other classroom. Yatin's number was third but as soon as he heard the name of the second participant, Yatin and his best friend were shocked. It was Fatema, and she did so well in her open-mic performance. Keeping the piece that she performed aside, Yatin was more spelled out by the way she was speaking, giggling and lifting her eyebrows while talking along with that smile. Yatin was so flattered to see her perform. While performing, she noticed Yatin and said hello to him in between performance. The third was Yatin and after his performance, he told his best friend to go and get the letter from the bag. It took a while for the bag to come, as his friend was unable to find the letter. Bag came but the insecurity of her going for next event was so high that Yatin asked his friend to empty down his whole bag in between that event and as a best friend he did. While the letter was still being searched, Yatin went where Fatema was sitting and said, "Hi." Surely he was scared but he told her that she had a pretty smile and also told her that he had written a poem for her and guess what? She smiled and it was so heartwarming that it made Yatin's heart go poco-loco. In addition, he also got her Instagram ID. He told her that the letter was still being searched, and in the midst of their conversation, one of the event volunteers came over and said that the next event was starting, and Fatema had to leave as a participant. She informed him of her participation in the event before departing. While she was moving out of the door, Yatin recalled all of his missed opportunities. After 5 minutes, they found the letter, but the problem was "which class she is in?" asked by Yatin's best friend. On which Yatin said, "Be prepared to go through each and every event class" and they both set out. By God's grace, they found her, and the letter was delivered. The missions were now successful until Fatema invited him to an event at her college.

As all the things he wanted to convey were done today, he felt no need to go to her college event, but now that she asked him to, of course he would.
