It was a fine afternoon, and me and my friends were sitting in our usual spot on Marine Drive, in front of the Trident Hotel. Luckily, we had a guitar with us and when you are with your group, you jam and that's what we did. We sang together, even gathered a crowd and did everything that we were able to do musically but at a point we came across silence. A silence of now what? We sang everything we could and that's the point where we picked up Indies by Anuv Jain. "Alag Asmaan" is indeed a treat to the ears. The lyrics of this song are something out of another world.

Every time I listen to those lyrics, it makes me want to sit on the beach with a cup of coffee and my favourite person and have a good and have a long conversation. As humans, we have a tendency to open up and that opening up of thoughts also opens you up for better opportunities and mental thoughts. In the moment with that special person with whom we are comfortable also makes us live the moment because all we have is now.

We all live in a chaotic world and the peace is very hard to find. In this era, songs like "Alag Asmaan-Anuv Jain" put a full stop to the chaos around our bodies as well as the chaos inside our heads. Alag Asmaan is the song that speaks to me personally. Something like travelling on a bike and applying a sudden break and pausing the speed all at once. That pause is something that song makes me feel while my mind runs with thoughts.

Sometimes we often misunderstand the relationship between two people's, sometimes they don't know what other person is going through with the smile on his face. The world is not as it looks. Not everybody is your friend nor enemy. I personally think those lines were for people who judge and we shouldn't be affecting with that. 
Ab alag aasmaan hai.
Aur hai zameen bhi kuch alag si
Par miloge jab kabhi, to dekhna tabhi
Main kuch alag nahi.

And these four lines have my heart. These lyrics speak about the distance between our favourite people. We don't often see them, but the bond remains the same. It also reminds me of the girl I liked in my school time and seeing her after a long period of time and finding that she is still the same and the nostalgic creep in love that we do. Alag Asmaan is a lullaby that can make us feel peace and make us feel the different types of love in the moment, but most importantly, it's so addictive.
